Cleanup pricing is scoped per engagement based on volume and complexity. We'll give you a clear number on the call.

Questions before you call?

Do I need to already be using QuickBooks?

No, and that’s OK!

Our firm is a QuickBooks Online only firm, but if you're not using QuickBooks Online yet we'll set it up and get you going when we onboard your business. If you're already using it, we'll review it and optimize anything that needs attention. We only use QuickBooks Online and do not service other bookkeeping software.


How does pricing work?

All tiers are a flat monthly rate based on your business complexity. Cleanup and catch-up are individually quoted for what is needed to bring everything current. We simplified everything. You can plan and budget your bookkeeping costs every month. Tier 1 starts at $300/month for the basics. When we have our initial meeting we will confirm your business needs and the exact cost. No surprises.


How long does it take to onboard my business?

If needed, the timeframe for cleanup or catch-up work will be on your quote. After the cleanup or catch-up work has been completed it generally takes 30 to 60 days for everything to settle out and start reporting correctly. At that point, you will be ready to receive monthly reports on the health of your business. Decisions become much easier and less stressful.


What if my records are paper or in Excel, and not QuickBooks?

It depends on what you have and how far back we need to go. Sometimes it just makes sense to start the year fresh. Other times, records can be imported, or may need manual entry. All of this will be accounted for in your cleanup/catch-up quote. During our initial meeting, we'll review where things sit and provide a quote before any work begins.


What if my books need help? Like, I haven’t touched them in a long time?

That's the most common situation we have with new clients. They are busy, we get it. Leave it in our hands. That’s why you’re here, so you can focus on running your business, not doing paperwork.

During our initial meeting, we will review your books and provide a quote to bring everything current. Our cleanup or catch-up service will take care of anything that didn’t get enough attention and bring everything up to today.


How do you handle billing and payments?

At the beginning of every month you'll be automatically charged for that month's services. We accept credit cards, but we prefer ACH (direct deposit) because it saves on fees for both sides. We do not accept paper checks or bill pay. Everything is automatic so there's nothing for you to manage.

Do you handle taxes or payroll?

As a bookkeeping service, ClearBuild Financial and its employees are not licensed to provide tax advice or tax preparation or filing service. We do regularly coordinate and work with several CPA partners to make sure that the tax season handoff goes smoothly for our clients.

While we don’t process payroll, we do track it in QuickBooks Online so you have an accurate record. We strongly recommend that you hire a payroll processor because of the high penalties and fees associated with mistakes.


How involved do I need to be once you start? How much of my time does this require?

Once onboarding is complete, very little. After we connect your accounts to QuickBooks Online, you will have an occasional question or two to answer when a transaction isn’t clear. We will reach out to your CPA and ask how they would like to see everything at tax time and that’s about it. Most clients that were spending their weekends and evenings dreading their books, spend less than 30 minutes a month on review - and that’s mostly reading reports about how their business is doing.
